MY STORY
Reflecting upon my life, I have intentionally chosen to see it through a lens of positivity rather than negativity. Rather than framing my journey as a tale of hardship, I embrace gratitude for my experiences and the lessons they have taught me.
I see these lessons not as failures, but as stepping stones guiding my growth. These experiences have cultivated a positive mindset that continues to propel me forward.
Though many of the paths I’ve travelled have been difficult, I have learned to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, embracing each moment as an opportunity for strength and transformation.
I’ve had the privilege of living in 3 countries, South Africa, New Zealand & Australia. Over the years, I’ve worked in 5 different international banks, established my own company in the finance world and introduced industry approved mentoring programs for new to industry finance brokers. My coaching and mentoring work continues in the finance industry and also with quantum healing frequency technology which includes the 3 Pillar Program that I developed.
My planetary consciousness experiences have lead me to many countries uniting me with my YOSOY / I AM community and many others in the Disclosure Arena.
Immigrating to Melbourne, Australia in 2001 was both exciting and terrifying. I didn’t know a single soul…and now….looking back over the years, I’m proud of my achievements.
I was born in a small town called Empangeni in South Africa which has a sub-tropical climate. My father was an engineer and his work took our family to live in many cities around South Africa.
Upon reflection, this made me resilient and I always embraced the challenge to rise to the top in my chosen sports.
Being the eldest in my family, I have always been the leader of the pack and I had a natural aptitude for sport. I inherited good sporting genes from my parents and excelled in athletics (100m & 200m sprinting) and also outdoor hockey.
I still hold records for the 100m and 200m sprints at my primary and high school and also enjoyed competing at the South African Athletics Championships.
As a team sport I chose to play outdoor hockey and I spent all my spare time practicing which paid off handsomely as I was selected to represent my state every school year and went on to be selected for my university team and the Women’s State Hockey team.
I’m proud to say that I was also nominated for the South African squad, however, sadly we were unable to play due to political issues.
POSITIVE PATHWAYS
Although my parents provided a safe home for me, due to the nature of my father’s work as an engineer, we moved cities many times and from the age of five years old I attended many different schools. Every time I arrived in a new city and started at a new school, despite not knowing anybody, each time I rose to the top becoming a leader.
I was blessed with good athletic genes and each time I arrived at a new school everyone noticed me because I was the fastest runner out of everyone in the 100m and 200m sprint races at the athletics competitions.
The students began to follow me in order to learn from me and I genuinely enjoyed helping them improve their running skills. I loved the good uplifting feelings in my heart and body of helping others and being acknowledged. I wanted to experience these feelings again, so I developed a plan to follow a daily habit to practice by myself every day to further develop my sprinting skills to become fitter and faster.
I also became aware how to use my emotions and outer senses to my advantage by incorporating methods which implemented together led me to achieve my goals. Combining physical exercise, a healthy diet and the power of the mind, I regularly visualised myself running in my future races from the start to the finish line and I matched this visualisation to a wonderful warm feeling of achieving success.
In high school and thereafter, as a team sport, I played field hockey and once again, since I had proven that my plan had been successful during my junior school years, I developed a roadmap in order to improve my speed on the field and practice my technical skills so that I could out manoeuvre the opposition and score many goals. I had a burning desire from within to perform well and upon reflection when I examine the situation – I can identify with the great warm feeling in my inner self every time I successfully achieved what I had set out to accomplish.
Consequently, due to maintaining my good habits which translated info success, I became a valuable asset to the team, but most importantly, from my perspective, I got to repeatedly experience that wonderful warm feeling every time I scored a goal or outperformed the opposition and the repetition of my successes reinforced my self-belief. I trained by myself every day and became a master of my techniques.
I consolidated the success of my skills in many ways including drawing the plan of my drills and shooting skills on paper. I vividly remember purposefully visualising in my mind’s eye, successfully performing my skills during the match whilst lying in bed at night and also directly before the start of a match.
Little did I know at the time that I was positively programming my subconscious mind which gave me the confidence to achieve what I was manifesting.
CONSISTENT GOOD HABITS
Implementing a positive plan with consistent good habits has worked very successfully for me during my life time.
The point I would like to make is that from an early age, it was not winning the race or scoring the goals that satisfied me. Whilst that was a big factor, the most important outcome for me was the powerful warm feeling in my inner self which made me feel secure and gave me a wonderful feeling of self-belief.
An inner feeling which I had developed all by myself and nobody could take away.
I had unknowingly developed an internal recipe for success which made me feel confident within the confines of my mind, heart and body.
I have used this recipe throughout my adult life including maneuvering through the highlights and hardships of living in 3 different countries, raising a family, working in the male dominated corporate finance industry and managing my own company within the highly regulated challenging finance environment.
The reality is that I was able to turn my mind inward to connect with my Universal Intelligent Conscious Mind through which I built a foundation of positivity and used this method to navigate throughout my life’s journey.
I have developed a solid understanding of the science of consciousness which has enabled me to review how I manifested my positivity during my early years. My every reactive thought was conscious with which I chose to switch into positivity.
The Universal Intelligent Conscious Mind is the root essence from which I harnessed my good warm feelings that made me feel secure within myself. I locked these feelings into my memory bank as a foundation which helped me believe in myself every time I faced a difficult situation.
Every human being has the ability and choice to formulate good habits including turning inward to look into their higher conscious inner self and connect with the Universal Intelligent Conscious Mind in order to draw strength and guidance to find solutions so that we can move forward and achieve our goals with positivity.
If you truly believe in yourself, then this habit becomes a powerful tool for the human being to use in their everyday life and helps to overcome any outer difficulties which we may face during our lifetime.
This outlook can make a big difference to what we can accomplish in our life time.
WORKING, COACHING & MENTORING IN THE FINANCE WORLD
My finance career started as a teller at the main branch of a big bank in South Africa. During this time the banks attracted the customers by appearing to look wealthy and glamorous. The banking hall was very posh, adorned with marble walls and a large fountain. All the tellers were young attractive ladies dressed in smart uniforms. I soon became bored with being a teller as it was very repetitive with no scope for advancement, so I applied to be transferred to the mortgage department as I thought that would be more stimulating.
I was told that only men could work in the mortgage department and if I wanted to work there, I had to complete my banking exams. I embraced the challenge because I wanted to get ahead sooner rather than later. I studied hard and became the first women in South Africa to write all my banking exams in one sitting. And that’s how I started in the mortgage department!
To escape the South African crime and violence and looking for a better future, our family immigrated to New Zealand. My husband worked for Air New Zealand and we enjoyed the benefits of exploring the beautiful country.
Whilst working on the Y2K project, he was offered a position with Ansett Australia and consequently we moved to Melbourne. As the move to Melbourne was urgent, we arrived here on a business visa. Unfortunately Ansett, who supported our immigration went bankrupt and the Australian immigration department gave our family an ultimatum to be deported within 30 days. Fortunately we were able to satisfy the Australian visa requirements once all our official paperwork had been completed and we were permitted to stay permanently. We are now all proud Australian citizens!
When I moved to Melbourne the banks wouldn’t accept my South African mortgage experience and so I made the decision to became a mortgage broker in 2004.
As an experienced mortgage broker, I started mentoring new to industry mortgage brokers in 2010. I authored the Quality Financial Group Mentor Program which has been assessed by the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia (MFAA) in 2014 and Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) in 2016 against their minimum standards and has been recognised and approved as a mentor program for new to industry brokers.
I’ve enjoyed the journey to become an experienced mentor and coach dedicated to helping people build a sustainable business in which they are able to work anywhere, anytime, regardless of location. Working electronically using innovative technology is available to everyone who embraces it.
I have a thirst for knowledge and am a firm believer in continued education. I’ve benefitted from attending The Adviser Study Tour in London, Hong Kong and Ireland to learn about the international banking and mortgage market with regards to compliance, risk management and surviving during regulation changes. I have incorporated all the information into my business processes and procedures and share everything with the brokers I mentor.
By sharing my knowledge, expertise & experience, I have been able to empower the mentees to fulfil their dreams of being self-employed and self-sufficient business owners and ensuring that they recommend a loan which is in the best interests of the customer and meets their personal set of objectives resulting in a good customer outcome.
I’ve also mentored RMIT university students, which I really enjoyed as they kept me on my toes with regards to the latest technology and nuances.
